Bluegrass Jams
Grab your instrument and join the fun! Dedham School of Music hosts regular Bluegrass Jams for all abilities.
We have both slow-paced sessions for beginners and faster jams for more experienced players – come find your rhythm with our vibrant community!
Chamber Ensembles & Jazz
Our jazz and chamber groups are a fantastic way to develop your performance skills, explore new
repertoire, and simply have fun creating music together.
All ages and abilities are welcome – participants and are placed based on their interests and abilities, ensuring a collaborative and enriching experience for everyone.
Community Band
The Dedham School of Music’s Community Band (DCB) has brought the joy of music to local communities since 2017. The DCB has performed at beloved local events like the Summer Concert Series at the Endicott Estate, the Dedham Square Holiday Stroll, the All-Town Band Concert, and even graced the iconic DCR Hatch Shell in Boston.
Singing Alive
Bring Folks Together and Build Community
Singing Alive was developed because many, especially the elderly and those with disabilities, faced isolation and loneliness during the pandemic. Our overarching goal is to provide a group music experience to bring folks together and build community.
Piano Lessons
Discover the joy of the piano with personalized lessons. Our expert piano instructors will guide you through tailored instruction based on your experience level. Group Piano Classes for young children and adults as well as Collaborative Piano Sessions for teens or adults are also available. Piano lessons are offered on weekdays.
Guitar Lessons
Strum or pluck your way to musical mastery with private guitar instruction in all styles, including:
- Bass guitar
- Ukelele
- Mandolin
- Blues harmonica
