Free Music & Reduced Tickets
We’re proud to provide free or reduced price tickets to local live music performances through our participation in the Mass Cultural Council’s “Card to Culture” program.
For EBT or WIC Card Holders:
If your family has an EBT or WIC card, you can get 4 free tickets per cardholder to our events, while supplies last. See below how to claim your free tickets.
For ConnectorCare Health Insurance Card Holders:
If your family has a ConnectorCare health insurance card, you can get up to four tickets at 50% off for each Dedham School of Music performance. See below how to claim your discounted tickets.
To claim your free or discounted tickets, simply contact the DSM office by phone at (781) 441-9372 or by email (at info@dedhamschoolofmusic.org) when you reserve your tickets, or show your card at the event. Free and discounted tickets are limited, so please get in touch with us to check availability.

- Intermediate Ukulele Group Class (6 Weeks)
This intermediate ukulele class is designed for students who already have basic ukulele experience, are 10 years of age or older (adults are encouraged as well), and are ready to expand their skills and musical confidence. In a supportive group setting, students will build on foundational techniques while learning more advanced chords, strumming patterns, and performance skills.
Over 4 weeks, students will explore:
Smooth chord transitions and expanded chord vocabulary
Intermediate strumming and rhythmic techniques
Fingerpicking basics
Playing melody and accompaniment together
Reading chord charts and lead sheets
Ensemble playing and musical expression
Students will learn a variety of songs and styles while improving timing, coordination, and overall musicianship. The class encourages creativity, collaboration, and confidence in group performance settings.
Class Size: Minimum of 3 max of 5.
Duration: 4 weeks. Session 1: 6/23 - 7/14 | Session 2: 8/4 - 8/25
Level: Intermediate (basic chord knowledge and strumming experience recommended)
Format: Interactive group class with guided practice, ensemble playing, and skill-building activities
Cost: $120/session

TONIGHT! Dedham Community Band performs outside of the main library at 630pm!!
Join us for a lively night out filled with great company, themed meat packages like Barbecue Pitmaster, Backyard Burgers, and Fresh from the Shore, plus chances to win big in our 50/50 raffle and silent auction.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the raffle begins at 8:00 p.m.
Every ticket helps support the Dedham School of Music’s mission to provide financial aid and ensure access to high-quality music education for everyone in our community.
Parking is free on site. A cash bar is available, and you`re welcome to bring your own snacks.
Suggested donation of $10 for a single ticket or $100 for a table for 10.
